Last night, there was football hooliganism. The violence broke out following Arema FC’s loss to Persebaya. According to local media accounts, football supporters of both teams stormed the field following the loss.
Even the videos were released, showing the fans all across the field with bands and smoke.
Uniformed cops using riot shields were spotted chasing down and thrashing spectators on the field with batons.
According to Indonesian authorities, more than 127 people were killed and 180 more were injured in a football brawl. At least two police policemen were killed. Over 300 people were taken to surrounding hospitals.
According to officials, 34 persons died on the spot. The most cause of death, some individuals died as a result of the turmoil at the football stadium, while others were trampled while attempting to flee through a single exit.
The football association of Indonesia is investigating the event alongside authorities and has suspended the league for a week.
Amateur footage revealed a row of the dead in the stadium, as well as significant damage.
Other photographs showed vehicles that had been burnt out or overturned, including police cars, both inside and outside the stadium.
