Dragan Stojkovic started his football career at a very young age. At the age of 14 years old, he was already starting for the FK Radnicki Nis youth team.
Meanwhile, he made his professional debut at the age of 17 years old for the home side Radnicki Nis during the 1981-82 season as the substitute player.
Dragan was the youngest player to make a debut at that time in the Yugoslav First League.
