However, some of the world-class players are to miss this tournament this year.

Opener

Talking about openers, they are the key players for a better score on the scoreboard. However, openers like Johnny Bairstow and Josh Inglis are about to miss their T20 campaign due to injury.

Johnny Bairstow(broken fibula): Johnny Bairstow is the first name in our list of the injured XI of T20 World Cup 2022. He is replaced by Alex Hales.

The explosive opener could have changed the course of the innings in a short time. However, he injured his ankle while playing golf and now is ruled out from the upcoming tournament.

His T20 stats are quite impressive so far. The English International has played 19 innings scoring 337 runs. Likewise, he also has 1 half-century on his record. Furthermore, the England opener has an average of 24.04 in 265 T20 balls.

Josh Inglis(right-hand cut): The Australian wicketkeeper and opener have been ruled out of the squad due to an injury cut in his right hand.

Josh injured his right hand while playing golf in Sydney on 19th October 2022. Currently, he is replaced by Cameron Green.

Inglis also has amazing batting in this format of cricket. He has played 10 T20 matches in total scoring 228 runs in his 9 innings.

Likewise, the player is yet to score any half-century in the format. However, his strike rate and average are quite impressive.

Middle Order

Rassie Van Der Dussen(broken finger):

Another promising player to join the injured XI of T20 World Cup 2022 is Dussen. Van Dussen has been replaced by Wiaan Mulder.

Dussen injured his left index finger while playing the final third test against England. The South African International has played 37 innings in the T20 Internationals.

Daryl has played 35 matches in the T20 international. The fierce batsman has 657 runs in his 33 innings.

Ravindra Jadeja(knee surgery):  The talented spinner and middle-order batsman is about to miss the T20 tournament following his knee surgery.

This might be a huge blow to the Indian squad. Jadeja has been one of the prominent players for the middle order of the Indian team.

His absence will be marked with a great hole in the team. However, Axar Patel is set to replace Jadeja in his absence.

The left-arm orthodox bowler and batsman have played 34 innings in T20 internationals. His average in this format is 24.05 with a strike rate of 124.52.
